A small front lawn in Sandwich freshly mown, pebbledash and pale-painted neighbouring houses behind, a tidy strip of grass between path and house wall.

What this kind of visit looks like

Most small Sandwich front gardens are 8–15 m² of grass with a path or wall on one side and a low hedge on the other. They do not take long to mow, but they do need doing on a regular cycle, the difference between a tidy front garden and a tired one is a fortnight. We work the lawn and the hedge in the same visit so the cuttings only have to be cleared once.

Pricing this kind of visit

£20 covers a small front lawn mow plus a low hedge or two trimmed and the cuttings cleared off the path. If your front garden is bigger, we'll quote you on the spot, same simple, fixed-price approach.

The hedge half

Front hedges are about restraint. The mistake people make is taking too much off, then having to wait for the hedge to bush back out before it looks right. We trim to keep the hedge looking healthy rather than minimising it, a steady reduction over two or three visits if it has got away, rather than a hard cut in one go.

Cuttings come off the hedge and go straight onto a tarp on the lawn rather than onto the path. The mow comes after the hedge work, that way the mower picks up any stragglers and the lawn ends up cleaner than the path.

Why we do small jobs

Some lawn-care firms will not turn out for a £20 visit. We do, to be fair, small jobs are how most of our friendly local relationships start, and they keep the streets we work on looking properly tidy rather than patchy. If your visit is at the £20 end of the scale, that is absolutely fine. Same kit, same care, same fixed price.
