Back garden before mowing, with longer grass and dandelions across the lawn

Before — front and back had got away a bit, with dandelions across the whole garden.

What we were looking at

Front and back lawns that had got away a bit, with dandelions and longer growth across the whole garden. A working garden with seating, planters and a feature stone — so the mow needed to be tidy around the edges, not just down the middle.

What we did

Cut the front and back to a healthy mowing height (not scalped — the lawn responds better to a steady rhythm of regular cuts than a one-off short blast). Edged around the patio, planters, and the central feature so the mow line reads cleanly from the patio doors. Cleared the clippings.

How it looks now

Lawn down to a consistent length front and back, edges sharp, garden ready to enjoy the rest of the week. With a regular mow on the calendar from here, it’ll keep getting tidier each visit.
