We've just taken delivery of a brand new Spectrum TG48-PRO, and we're not going to pretend we weren't excited about it.
Spectrum is a British brand — designed and engineered in the UK — and the TG48-PRO is their professional-grade self-propelled mower. Ours arrived in British racing green. The kind of green you'd see on a Mini in the Italian Job. Proper.
Under the bonnet (so to speak) is a Honda GCVx200 engine: 201cc, reliable, fuel-efficient, and the engine of choice for serious kit in this class. Add in variable speed self-propulsion — which means the mower walks at your pace, not the other way round — and a side discharge option for pushing through large lawns quickly, and you've got a machine built for a working day, not a Sunday afternoon potter.
It also has a cup holder. An actual cup holder. Whoever designed this thing gets it.
We spent a good hour just walking around her when she arrived. The wheels, the badge, the engine cowl. We took a can of Fanta out and just stood there pointing at things. Couldn't help it.
What it means for your lawn
Better results. A sharper cut, more consistent height across the full 460mm blade width, and a team that genuinely loves the work. Good equipment makes a difference — both in the finish and in the care we bring to each visit.
If your lawn needs attention this season, get in touch. We cover Sandwich, Eastry, Worth, Ash, Deal, and the villages around.
